I too had a lump in my throat. It took about two months before I went in to have it checked out. I had no symptoms of GERD, yet after the tests I was told that I had Barretts esphogus which is a precancerous condition. I will be having surgery Nov 3 and hopefully this will take care of it. I have been on aciphex for about three months now, wathced my diet and I still feel like I have a piece of bread caught in my throat all the time. Get it checked out don't wait!
