I had Nissen about a year ago. Have had only a few episodes of Heartburn since. My most annoying symptom is episodes of esophageal spasm, chest and left shoulder pain accompanied often by my heartbeats feeling really strong and faster than usual. Had an episode in May that was so bad I had all the heart tests which were negative, an upper GI xray showed the spasm.
