Hi Lori,
Prilosec does cause some people some difficuly. You might want to try something gentler and a lot cheaper... It is Pepto Bismol. Doesn't taste too bad either. Of course, it is not a prescription and it has been around for many years, so no one is getting rich off its' sale. Maalox also is good but it doesn't taste as good.
