Yes, I've taken the aciphex 20 mg and have taken it off and on for about 4 mos. I didn't like the aciphex because at first it did help my symptoms but then after awhile, I guess I became immune to it just like all the rest of the meds out there. I noticed that while on the aciphex, my throat would get real dry at times, this would come and go. I also noticed that my hair started getting real limp and fine, and that I got dysphagia (difficulty swallowing)while taking it, although I'm not sure that the aciphex caused the swallowing problems or the reflux. Then I noticed that my urine had a funny smell to it while on the aciphex. Like I said it worked fine for awhile until I became immune to it. I would recommend the endoscopy becaz a barium swallow won't show everything like an endoscopy will, I suggest you get the endoscopy right after your barium swallow, just to be on the safe side.

Good luck, Juanita
