Are the PPI med's making you sick too?

I have only been diagonsed with Gerd disease for about a year now and it seems to me that since I've been on the med's (PPI's) that my condition has since worsened! You can read my testimony under Juanita (difficulty swallowing). I really believe that these med's are causing my problems to worsen and progress even quicker! My difficulty in swallowing didn't even start until I began taking the PPI's, now I have problems swallowing, my HB has since worsened, I'm now starting to have nausea a lot, I have this white film like stuff in my throat, and esophageal spasms. This has all progressed since I've been on the PPI's. At first I only had stomach pain in the morinings when I'd wake up, since I've been to the Doctor and been put on the PPI's the problems have seemed to progress even faster!I have also noticed that my hair has gotten limp and fine, and now I'm getting pains in my lower areas of my intestines. How could all this stuff be happening and I'm on the medication (PPI's) that is supposed to be making me better!? It seems to me that my symptoms are getting much worse with the med's!!! Any of you out there get this same problem? I've read Bob Cotten's testimony and he's gotton off these med's altogether! Now I am really getting suspicious of these med's.

I suppose most people fear that if they take themselves off of them that their problems will get worse. Well my problems have worsened it seems to me since I've been on them.

I think I'm going to research these med's and get off of them in the meantime. I think I'll continue to take my herbal med's for hb ease until I can get an operation to fix the problem instead of masking it.

I really believe the problem solver is all in the operation! If your car breaks down do you temporarily fix it or have the problem fixed all toghether?

I truely believe that the cure is all in the operation. Gerd is caused by a weak valve that relaxes and causes acid to enter into the esophagus, causing HB. Well then wouldn't it be wise to have the problem fixed??? These PPI's haven't been out that long. If you get the paper from the pharmacist listing ALL OF THE SIDE EFFECTS that the PPI's have, you'd all be AMAZED!!Next time you go to have your perscriptions filled ask the pharmacist for the paper that lists the side effects, and sit down and read it carefully, it's SCARY!!!
