Hi Genny. I also had the bad side effects from the ppi's.Can not tolerate anything stronger than pepcid or malox.(over the counter stuff) I was on prilosec for three years and did fine, then it stopped working.I believe a person may get immune to these drugs, and I just got really sick on the other ones. Sometimes it just takes some switching around for people too. Some people do fine on one, and terrible on another. Hang in there!
