Guess what. I also have earaches. The doctors attempted to clear up those "prominent blood vessels" that were showing with antibiotics in hope that it was just an infection, of no avail. Check your ears right when you get out of bed, because I went to an ENT doctor complaining of recurrent fluid in my ears whenever I get up from bed or from laying down. That's when he first mentioned that it is possible for stomach contents ie: liquids to travel up to the ears if there was a problem with digestion. He also said it was uncommon for this to happen to normal people and that I should see a gastroenterologist to correct this problem. It's always good to check with your ENT anyways because he/she can find out other things like if you have post-nasal drip causing even more soreness in the throat.
