heart burn/any link with ma huang??

i have occasionally suffered from heart burn, however, i started taking ma huang supplements almost 3 weeks ago. it seems since taking these, i get heartburn nearly every day. have you ever heard of any link between these? the heartburn happens regardless of intake...smaller meals, even no meals, i still get it. usually happens mid day. if it matters, i am 38 years old, about 75 pounds overweight, do not smoke, bp is good and cholesterol is 180. thanks for any ideas. will quit the ma huang if necessary.
