I was diagnosed with hiatal hernia, GERD, moderate esophagitis, mild duodenitis, and gastritis back in March. Recently had HIDA scan showing poor contractibility of gallbladder. I started having chest pains so doc increased Prevacid to 30 mg twice a day and it took chest pains away. Occasionally I will have pains right below sternum and slightly to the right. If I press on my abdomen right below sternum and follow my rib cage to the right it is very tender, more in the middle than the right side. Would could be causing the tenderness. It really is very tender right below sternum. And when I push slightly on the right side below rib cage I can feel the discomfort go to my chest. What could this be?
