My HMO recently switched from Prilosec to Protonix. Protonix is 28% cheaper, according to an article I read in the newsletter. Have filled the new prescription, but have not switched yet because I have not quite finished the Prilosec. They are both proton pump inhibitors. Would anyone who is taking Protonix care to comment on your experience with this new drug. I am a little leary of taking a new medication that is only authorized for 16 weeks. Feeling a bit like a guinea pig.
