Sampling error is the most likely reason why Barrett's is not found on a follow up examination of the esophagus. Nissen Fundoplication can and does reduce ones chances of progression of Barrett's to cancer. Get the surgery before your disease gets worse. You will feel so much better when you are not dependant on drugs and able to live normally again. Check out my website for patient testimonials. http://www.sdheartburn.com
