Thankyou for replying Dr Wilcox. Yes it seems to be the effect of alcohol on the esophagus. I tested it again with a whisky and coke and as soon as I sat down I could feel the quick sensation of light headedness and the throb of my heart. It also happens with coffee, tea (but these I don't drink much) or after I eat. Also sometimes what happens is I feel the need to burp a little, and when i do, I seem to bring up a small portion of bubbly liquid. As I wrote before, I tried Zantac for 2 weeks, but the symptoms never really disappeared. Is there something else I should try or do? Otherwise I eat really healthy. Also, just for curiosity, I feel nauseas and not hungry when I am anxious, almost always when I have to fly and see someone. I don't even know I am anxious, but I know its normal and due to the build up of acid in my stomach, but is there anything I can do to prevent this occuring? I have never tried taking anti-acid when this happens. Sorry I have written too much but thanks again.
