Dear Dave: If your doctor could not feel the lump when he examined you and if you only feel the lump some times you probably do not have a tumor. You may have a ventral hernia that bulges out on and off when your stomach is full. Get checked for a hernia. If there is no hernia and the problem persists you may need a CT scan of the abdomen.
