I was diagnosed with IBS several yrs. ago. Recently, I have had bloating and pain in stomach and under rib, constipation, etc. Went back to specialist and he ordered upper GI and barium enema. Enema showed minimal diverticuli and upper GI nothing. Felt better at follow-up, so Dr. suggested high fiber diet. A week later, symptoms have started again-burning from lower stomach to throat. Constant rumbling and noise in stomach. Rolaids help some. Usually goes away as early evening approaches, but miserable while it is going on. Stomach is making awful noises right now. Am avoiding food, doesn't seem to help. I plan to call Dr. tomorrow, but do you have any ideas? I've never had the stomach noises or intense burning before. Thanks!
