I am a rather complicated case.

I have severe allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis, and severe bronchestasis in all lobes. My left lobe had a pnumothorax about 10 years ago.

I am on Guaifenisin 1200mg, Sporonox 400mg, prednisone (varies), accolate, depakote 300mg, serevent, pulmicourt, claritin D24, and aciphex 20mg 3x daily, and Ranitidine 300mg daily.

I get no relief from constant heartburn and food "sticking".

In August the found chronic inflammation and a minute focus of Barrets with an intermittent hiatel hernia.

My questions are as follows:

Is the laproscopic surgery the best choice over Stratta and Bard?

Will the previous lung collapse be a problem?

Will the surgerey be effective inspite of the types of medication I still must take?

Is it true that the types of medication I am taking for blocking acid can cause cancer?

Thank you so much.

Jeen
