K, I believe GERD can be beat naturally, it just takes a long time. I was diagnosed with severe acid reflux through the usual tests, and surgery was recommended. Through proper diet (including various supplements), exercise, and meditation, I've eliminated 99 percent of my symptoms. I feel good most of the time, and only occasionally feel a remnant of a symptom that never gets as bad as it used to. After listening to conventional docs and taking their drugs for about 7 months, I was miserable, and could see everyone else following what they recommended was also miserable. Finally I started listening to alternative medicine and five months later I have few problems. I see no reason why I won't eventually become completely cured. If I continue to improve over the next couple of months as much as I have improved over the last couple of months, then I won't have GERD anymore. I've posted the details of my diet previously on this board (which basically comes down to an all natural whole foods diet - I've also done the anti-candida diet), so for more info see my posts below, especially the exchages I had with Pat. I think the diet is extremely important, however, what has really amazed me is what meditation has done. I resisted this for a long time, but it has proven to be the final ingredient to getting me healthy (it just takes awhile to learn how to do it effectively). Hope this helps, Jim.
