It started with a sore throat and I thought I was getting a cold, then my ears started hurting and I had pain and trouble swallowing this all started when my son was 5 months old. After 3 months I went to the dr and first he thought i had a nasal infection so they put me on antibiotics for that. Of course it didn't help and even got worse. Finally he discovered that I had ulcers on my larynx and that it was inflamed. I got antibiotics for that and reflux medication (prevacid)after 3 weeks I returned and instead of it getting better it got worse!!! All this time I had never ever noticed any acid reflux!!! Now I had the biopsy and I am on voice rest and doing better but as soon as I say something it hurts horribly. Can you imagen being on voice rest with a nine month old? It is horrible. Did you have any tests to make sure it is Acid Reflux I haven't but want them only then I will believe this is GERD! If you want more info you can email me too at iriscook@home.com
