Yes I am a doctor currently on "hiatus" from active practice. As for symptoms after dinner one reason may be that this is simply the largest meal of the day for most folks, also our daily activities tend to wind down at that point and this may have a slowing effect on the digestive process. Another factor is that stomach acid tends to increase into the evening period. I try to eat slowly, stop at the first sign of fullness and go for a 20-30 minute walk right after eating. This helps when I force myself to do it. Steve.
