here's my history. mild reflux, stomach polyps removed, put on PPI's, developed severe reaction to all PPI's, dr. took off PPI's. had endoscopy, blood work, all kinds of ct scans, don't have gallbladder, told mild reflux. often have constipation or diahrrea. current symptoms are stomach pain in center of chest between ribs about an hour or so after eating. often severe sharp pain under left ribs often goes to right and through to back. throat burns a lot. lots of mucous drainage, i assume from sinuses. cokes, spicy foods, really tear me up. dr. just said well since you can't take ppi's let's see what happens when everything is stopped. problem is i constantly wake up about 2:3o to 4:00 in the morning with this stomach pain, doesn't matter whether i eat late or not. i'm a big guy but am loosing weight and can't afford to loose much more. am changing diet. of course, am very anxious and i know that's not helping. anybody told by dr. to well just wait and see. all liver tests everything completely normal except for reflux. well heck if i can't take ppi's what am i supposed to do???? sure would appreciate some help for this fella in texas
