Hi Thistle, I am so glad you are feeling better. It is 5 months for me, and I will never be sorry I had the Nissen done. I can eat anything anytime. If you have any questions write me Luce35@aol.com I can even drink wine, orliquor and pizza. I sleep so good too. I would reccommend this for anybody with serious gerd like me. Lucy
