I've had non-erosive reflux and gastro doc feels...after it came back...I should be on prilosec indefinitely. My question is since prolosec reduces acid but not reflux does it prevent damage to esophagus or just reduce symptoms. Also can antacids be taken if necfessary. My doc says i can do one two hours after prolosec.
Also find that it's hard to predict food effects. Sometimes a food that is suppsoed to cause a react- ion doesn't and one tnat shouldn't does, but I'm not sure the fod thing operates right after eating...a few hiurs... or can kick in the next day or if it's cumulative. I've also noticed that under stress I feel worse.
