Hi, that is the very reason I couldn't take the Prevacid or Prilosec. They both gave me terrible pains up and down my back and sides. Also a nauseated feeling which would last just about all day. I'm having a flare up right now myself. My stomach is sour, I have the burning in my back. Nothing seems to help. I'm drinking lots of water, taking my DGL and using Pepcid. Not really doing the job. Hopefully this is just a setback and it will get back to a tolerable level. I had my chiropractor draw some blood to do a yeast (candida) test. I'll know by the end of the week. I've been reading the Yeast Connection. Many digestive problems are caused by overgrowth of yeast in the body. I wish it were that simple, but I'm playing detective. As far as the doctors are concerned, everyone gets and antacid and a pat on the head to go home and suffer. There really isn't any investigation into where and why this all started. One shoe size just doesn't fit all. Well I hope you start feeling better. Keep us posted. Ginny
