I got a horrendous rash all over from either Aciphex or Prilosec -- hard to know which, since it developed during the month I was trying both and never went away for weeks and weeks and weeks. My doctor said to stop them both. My allergist said you can have a rash for a full year after you stop a drug, as the system still produces antibodies to it. I tried still taking the drugs and took an antihistimane with it, but I would never do this again. It was a terrible experience. If a doctor is responsible, he's not going to permit you to take a drug for which you have an allergy.
