I am a 35 y/o female. My problem all started with a chronic localized chest pain to the right of my sternum. It felt more like a muscular problem. Over a period of a couple of months, I now have a similar pain beneath my right shoulder blade and sometimes underneath my arm down my side. It seems that the entire right side of my rib cage hurts. The pain goes away for a couple of hours after very strenuous exercise (at least 1 - 1.5 hours of exercise at 75-85% max heart rate). I have started trying yoga and other stretching, but probably have not done it long enough for results. I do burp a lot, but have only heartburn while pregnant. I went to doctor, and he diagnosed GERD and prescribed Zantac 150, 2xday. The only effect this has had is now I am constipated and have gas. No help with the chest and back pain. Any suggestions? Thanks
