Are birth control pills a risk factor for GERD? I've seen other postings where a GI doc had made this comment and that these pills may cause GI problems with some women..is it something with the hormones? any body know about this or heard of it?..another question what if you don't have actual acid relux just some minor burning in the brestbone area..and a somewhat of a bitter taste in the mouth like when you have a cold and nothing taste good...this is wierd because this goes away while I'm eating but comes back shortly after..no burping up food in the throat just a pressure and burning feeling like maybe I have to burp but don't...Is this due to post nasal drip I have?..as I have read some of the postings on this and can relate to many of the symptoms. Went to get upper GI and US and all was well...why else would I have that burning every now and then in my chest? some times my throat feels a little tight but feels better after I burp...Allergies? I don't know but I wish I had some advice!!!
