Difficulty swallowing

Hello:

After about 6 months of dealing with acid reflux, a new problem has become more common. I get a feeling that my throat is closing and have difficulty swallowing at different times of the day! My reflux is pretty well controlled with Protonix. Does this indicate a new problem?

On the Protonix the burning is pretty well controlled but I do get reflux. My throat does not feel sore at all!

A local doctor not my Gastro Dr., gave me a shot of an antiinflammatory it seemed to help although I am not sure.
