I have some questions...I have heard that you can get Medication Induced Esophagitis from taking certain kind of pills that can caue intense injury ...but I'm wondering if the pill called Bactrim for bladder infections is one of these pills..so far I've been only able to find Tetracycline, doxycycline, erythromycin, clindamycin, Fosamax, potassium chloride, iron preparations, quindine, analgesics such as aspirin or other NAIDS. I've taken bactrim and have had heartburn ever since this was over a month ago have this nasty taste in my mouth ..I don't have any reflux just burning in the sternum..have had upper GI and shows normal...what if this pill did some kind of irratation to the LES valve..wouldn't the upper gi be able to detect that? also I've tried prevacid..helped a little but not alot...I'm getting scared and anxiety has started in...Help..any advice welcomed!!! the only other meds I'm on is BC pills and I read a post in here that said this also relaxes the LEs valve..by Dr. mark Sherman...should I stop taking them???
