food/prilosec interaction

I've been on prilosec for many months for GERD and have always been diligent not to eat for at least 30 minutes after taking it (though i recently read a study that indicated 15 was ok). This morning I was preoccupied and had a small amount of food immediately afterward without thinking. I know I won't die but does doing this prevent the prilosec from working at all and if it happens again should I compensate in any way (e.g. if it is inactivated should I wait a period of time and take another 20mg)?
