If the polyps are small, they're likely not dangerous. If they become larger than 1 cm, then they need to be removed. They are likely a result of elevated gastrin levels caused by the prolonged use of proton pump inhibitors. This might be a good time for you to consider laparoscopic fundoplication so that you can stop these medications.
