Actually, meds didn't do a thing for me, except Zantac which I now take only when needed. I'm experimenting with my diet - which intentionally making it worse, and it's no change, so know I'm improving -- I guess, ha. But it gets bad during my monthly visitor. Priolosec wasn't good to me either. My OB prescribed Rantinidine during pregancy (3rd trimester when it started, thought I was having heart attacks). But that was my case which was severe and we didn't exactly know what the problem was. But it sure helped and I felt comfortable w/ it since my OB did. Check with your OB. If you can just watch your diet - DEFINITELY only eat small meals - (this I didn't do since I didn't know --- I was so HUNGRY! :-)
If it gets worse even after this, talk more with your OB. You said yours was better after 6 months. How long did you nurse? Trying to see how long it takes AFTER nursing to improve. I've heard 3 + mo. I hope so. Did you get this possible gerd DUE to pregnancy? That's when I got it, last one. Keep me posted. Take care of yourself and your baby! Kimberly
Right now, just eat smart and small -- it's hard I know. After the baby's born - still nurse, you don't have to give that up because of this!
