The other 2 tests are the 24 hr.probe and the one where it takes about 45 min and the put the tube in your throat and pull it up slowly to check muscles.I just am afraid cause i know they are uncomfortable and will have me more nervous then i am.My family dr.was saying not everyone that has acid relux has a hernia but all who has a hernia has some type of acid reflux.He said i might not have a problem all the time in the day with acid but when i get the pain at night then is when i have it come back up and could get the hernia worked up and start a spasm.Have a question....i have a friend who has the bacteria in her stomach and she is almost finished with meds and still has nausea and severe pain under her ribs and her back and arms will ache when the ribs start hurting,she is close to your age and was telling me friday that she was gonna try and get nerve pills from her dr.because of nerves and depression.....well was wondering,have read in site places about that bacteria and some people that has taken the treatment have ended up with acid reflux because of strong pills or have went back to dr and had positive breath tests and still in pain.Just don't understand why they would have you take the meds if your still gonna have pain or it can lead to reflux?She is worried because the rib pain has been there off and on for a year and she said i thought i might have cracked it but here lately the pain is worse and no matter what she eats she gets sick.Do you know if your suppose to watch diet when you have that?She said some times her chest feels like its on fire and it feels like her food is bubbling back up.I feel sorry for her she said she is so tired and has a hard time sleeping at night and she is pretty but boy is she skinny...says she just don't eat so pain won't double her over.
