Trying again

I asked this question below and was not given an answer. Let me try again. I would like to understand my condition better and am seeking information. If you do not know the answer to this, if it is unexplainable, please say so. I was told I do not have a hiatal hernia. My main symptom continues to be shortness of breath, especially after eating, though I can get this at any time, even when hungry. It is typically bad while sitting. I get sinus pressure and cannot breathe through my nose. If I stand up, I get relief. Sit back down and it comes back. Also, many times at night I feel great until I lay down. When lying on my back, I can breathe fine, but if I roll to either my left or right side, my sinuses get plugged up and I can't breathe. Is it possible they missed a hiatal hernia during the endoscopy? If this is not caused by a hiatal hernia, how else can this phenomenon be explained? If it is aspiration from acid coming up the esophagus, how is it that I've been able to eliminate heartburn and other esophageal sensations through alternative methods? Again, please don't tell me "reflux is reflux." That does not help me understand this condition. This is a well thought out and intelligent question and if you are able I would appreciate a reasonable explanation.
