Last question first. The only way to know it is your heart or not is to have the heart evaluated by a specialist and tested. In regards your presumed GERD, you need a manometry and motility test as well as a 24 hour pH test. Then and only then will you know that reflux is or is not the problem. You may have a motility problem for example causing your symptoms, not GERD. Alan White
