I met with a surgeon from USC back in May and was due for follow-up testing, when I had to postpone it all to treat a more serious health problem in the meantime.
He would be retesting, because motility tests at another center said I had a weakened LES, impaired motility, but borderline normal reflux and he wanted to test himself and then make the decision about whether surgery was the best option for me. But he said something that seemed to box me into a corner. I told him I have IBS (which I got from an antibiotic in 1999) and is the diarrhea kind. He said people with IBS experience a lot of bloating from the procedure and it would persist not just a few weeks -- but for years! I just read on another board that someone's doctor actually told them that the Nissan improves IBS along with the Gerd! Do you have any experience with this problem?
