Thanks, Dr. White. Here's the rub -- something I wasn't completely open with you about I guess, because it's too discouraging and I wasn't sure how much it mattered. The endoscopist at yet another place found a "small area of Barretts" which he says is "just a touch" and to come back in two years. This was just a few weeks before I was scheduled for those USC tests, which had to be cancelled, so the USC surgeon doesn't even know. The endoscopy was only one of a series of workups demanded by my oncologist to see why my blood test for a certain cancer scored so high. It turned out to be a GYN cancer and I've just finished Chemo six weeks ago. So my GI problems were put on hold.
Now, of course I'm thinking about that; not till I'm a bit more recovered, of course. But it does seem to present more of dilemma for me, doesn't it? I was hoping the IBS/diarrhea would be resolved, but it has actually gone from rarely bothering me (just a little morning loose bowels) to a little worse.
