I've had a hernia in my esophogus for over 20 years and have reflux. I have started having coughing spells along with shortness of breath and hoarseness/raspy voice - I was treated for bronchitis many times because the Dr. heard whizzing. I now have a very sore spot in my sternum area, I think. It is as if it is the very end of my esphogus. What could this be? Will an endoscopy show if I'm in danger of cancer in my esphogus?
