Back pain

I am suspected of having GERD although endoscopy and upper GI series cannot conclusively confirm this.

Symptoms are typical of GERD: belching, burning sensation (heartburn), slight pain when eating. All of these symptoms respond well to 20mg of Prilosec prescribed daily.

One symptom that perplexes me is the slight back pain between the left shoulder blade and spinal cord (closer to the spinal cord). Swallowing large, bulky foods causes slight pain in this area. Symptom is aggravated by alcohol. I have read that this could be a symptom of GERD, but it doesn't appear to be typical.

Could you please shed some light on this? Upper GI and endoscopy have not indicated ulcers or tumors.
