I know it will be somewhat difficult to advise me on this because I am not the one with the symptoms, my boyfriend is. I will tell you what I have observed though in hopes you can help. He has had heartburn for years as far as I know. And it is everyday. I'd say he goes thru at least a roll of rolaids a day, probably 2. He smokes, chews, and drinks somewhat heavily. He is also moderatley overweight. Obviously losing weight, quiting smoking, drinking, and chewing should be done. My qustion is how serious of a condition might he have? How important is it for him to see a doctor? Getting him to the doctors office is worse than pulling teeth, but I'm worried his condition may lead to long term damage. I guess I just want to know how hard I should work at pursuading him to go. Please advise. Thank you.
