The Demeeester score is a composite score made up of all the factors quantified in the ph probe. These include % time reflux upright, %time reflux supine, % time reflux total, episodes greater than 5 min, longest episode and total # episodes. For each of these parameters there is a normal value, your value and a score given which depends on how much you vary from normal. These scores are added up and you get a composite demeester score. I am reading this from the print out my doctor gave me. My composite score was 30.4. For example the normal # of reflux episodes in 24 hrs is <50 I had 191 which added 12.5 pts to my total demeester scale. The normal value for % time refluxing is <4.2. My % was 8 which added 5.7 pts to my total demeester score and so on until it reached 30.4, which is evidence of reflux. Your score of over 80 indicates even more deviation from normal than mine.
