Yes you should be treated. That's the only way to kill it off..but watch out you have to take about 14 pills a day for 2 weeks and the treatment makes you sick to your stomach..I had it treated in Jan.2001 and got retested a month later with a breath test and it was negative. Are you having any symptoms? my gastro doc said many people don't have symptoms. It's now March and I am still sick he says it can't be from h pylori because it was shown as to be gone. So now they are going to do blood work to see if it's my gallbladder..stones..etc. hope that helped..have any questions write back anytime.
