Oh, yes, Lisa -- that's how all this started with me. In fact, I've had it for a few years, and no-one was diagnosing it as anything wrong then. Back in the 80's, my family doctor said, "OH, that's just acid coming up in your throat." Oh! they didn't take it seriously then.
A year ago, I had borderline normal upright(4.5's) on the 24 hour PH test, and some 6's (What is normal, I forget) but when I lay down, it say "8." That's bad, huh? I didn't know what the numbers meant at that time.
Now I'm getting reflux sitting straight up. It's extremely distressing.
