Jula, have you tried the ginger root juice technique? You take a teaspoon of pure ginger root juice every morning on an empty stomach, and do not eat or drink anything for at least 30 minutes afterwards. The juice tastes like battery acid (I guarantee you'll hate it), and may actually make you feel worse at first, but after a few days it becomes easier to take. The remedy, as described on Doctor Stoll's website, is to do this for 21 days. If not effective by then, it probably won't work. It helped me a lot. After the 21 days, the heartburn would occasionally come back, but after taking the juice again for a few days the heartburn would go away. Eventually it stayed away for good.
