I'm scheduled to be evaluated at Stanford for the Stretta next month. They are still performing the Stretta although closely evaluating each patient. I have moderate GERD and have started to experience symptoms such as wheezing and chronic sore throat. I'm concerned about the long term benefits from the Nissen and frankly wrapping the stomach around the esophagus is not a true fix to the problem. I'm exploring the Stretta first because I have spasms and the Stretta may help with that although I'm keeping an open mind. I would also consider the Endocinch but overall know I want to go the less invasive route first. My G.I. was neutral on either when I first spoke to him about it last summer but seemed much more open to this route when I saw him last month. Will post after my visit at Stanford.
