I'm have Fundo..Scared!!! HELP

Hey I am having the lap fundo in about a month, I've discussed with several surgeons, docs, friends, ect and found a very qualified doctor to perform it. I am still scared half to death!! I've never had such major surgery. I NEED to have it..my reflex is damaging my lungs, asthma, insomnia, weight loss, ect..and I really am looking forward but I have a few concerns: Someone said you can't throw up once you have the surgery? What if you get stomache flu? Wont that make you 100% worse not throwing up? And I always get sick after anathesia..Will I throw up? No?? Gas problems? Pain? Have ANY deaths occured??

Im afraid of being cut open!! I need reinforcement!! My doc has already but i need MORE!!
