I was told I had a Reflux problem... I never had heartburn, I had a Hiatal Hernia and was told that I needed to have surgery (without ever having reflux symptoms) The meds were making me sick not to mention they never made a difference. I had the surgery (Nissin wrap) and have been totally miserable ever since. I can not eat nor drink "ANYTHING" at all! It’s been 5 months! I used to be 254 and muscular...I am now 210 and shrinking "FAST" My doctors will not listen to me! They keep telling me everything is fine. I had an upper GI and then they said' "oh it looks a little tight." Then they showed me the X-ray. I was no med student in college but I can read a x-ray, there was a large bubble where the Barium was just sitting and a beak shaped point where there was noting but black = too tight. It took me 7min to pass a little pill. I am an athlete and need to be able to eat and drink. It takes me 15 min to drink a glass of water, 45 min or more to eat solid food! I don’t know why they made it so tight when I never had heartburn at all? The endoscopy showed little acid, and no damage. I had a pH test and pressure test of the LES It came back + for reflux and weak LES. But I was also told that hiatal hernia could also produce false positives. I play semi-professional football, and have many important tryouts all over the country. Please this may be my only chance to live my dream. If you ever had a dream or anything you pursued with all you had since you were 8yrs old, a dream so strong you would do anything to fulfill...please hear me somebody tell me what I need to do... the clock is ticking away on me. Please help
