I had severe episodes of vomiting up bile a year and a half ago the first day of my period every month, so they removed my gallbladder. I was perfectly fine after until about 3 months ago. Since then I have had two major episodes of the same thing. The first time on the last day of my period, and this last time it was inbetween cycles. I get very painfully ill for about 4-5 hours. And vomit bile often every 15 minutes. It always happens after a few hours into my sleep, or very early in the morning. Will over-the-counter antacids help prevent this? Does dehydration have anything to do with it? I don't have health insurance, and am already in debt $60 thousand for the previous surgery and visits. I need a cheap fix. Is there anything that helps bring on an attack? I have not been able to find any common denominator in what I eat and an attack. What could my period have to do with it? Any advice is needed.
