With proper therapy there is an excellent chance you will heal your gastritis and esophagitis. The question then becomes , "will it recur?". If you had an esophageal manometry test and it showed a deficient lower esophageal sphincter, then it is probably a function of time until it recurs. If the LES is adequate, you have an excellent chance of no recurrence. Don't know that the NSAID's caused the esophagitis. Again, a normally functioning LES should have been protective.
