4+ months post-Nissen status report

I'm now somewhere between 4 and 5 months past my lap Nissen. My surgeon recently examined me one last time and released me. Not much else has happened.

Can eat almost anything I want. No big meals yet though. Greasy food still bothers me (it always has, but it's worse right now). If I try to eat when I'm in a hurry AND stressed, my esophagus goes into spasms, but they aren't painful or strong like they were in weeks 3-8. This happens when I take larger bites and don't chew thoroughly, in other words. So I still try to be a slow, patient eater all the time. I never was very bothered by gas, and so far that is still the case.

Haven't noticed much change in how my incisions look in the last month or two, and I still have a very faint bruise over the one incision closest to the wrap. I will post another note re: a few things my surgeon told me (they are unrelated to my recovery status).

All in all, I don't have much to report. And I am VERY grateful for that, of course. As usual, I'll respond to whatever questions you have re: Nissens, if I can.
