There is alot of anecdotal evidence showing that Acupuncture helps restore normal nerve function. Since GERD and other GI disorders are the result of improper nerve function of the digestive system, for many, Acupuncture, combined with other natural remedies, can clear up mild to moderate cases of GERD. In your case, since you we're born without an LES, acupuncture won't cure what doesn't exist.
