I had mine out, cuz I was loaded with gall stones, it was simple, All of my GERD problems started years later...The docs don't think there is a correlation to that.....The surgery is simple and I felt fine very quickly...Just need to avoid things like broccoli, as it is very gassy. I would be encouraged if they thought that that was an answer to GERD....Do you also have a motility problem ???? I think I do although that is a test they never did on me.... any way, good luck to you...it is an easy surgery...MMN
